Pro Tips:
Dry Your Chicken Legs Off: It’s important to pat the chicken dry before cooking because its crispy skin will not get as crisp if you don’t.
Preheating: There is no reason to preheat your air fryer. The chicken will cook perfectly, whether you preheat or not.
Crowding: For best results, do not crowd the air fryer basket; otherwise, the airflow will be restricted, and the chicken legs will not cook up properly. You will often find that when you crowd your air fryer, you will end up with uneven chicken or undercooked chicken.
BBQ Sauce: You can also use store-bought sauce if you do not want to make a quick homemade BBQ sauce.
Add-ins and Substitutions
Chicken: You can use any part of the chicken that you want. This recipe will also work with wings, chicken breast, thighs, or even turkey wings or cutlets.
BBQ Sauce: You can use any BBQ sauce flavor that you want, from fancy brands such as Gayle’s Sweet N’ Sassy BBQ sauce or even a Keto (or low carb) BBQ sauce.
