Start by washing and drying the potatoes. And you can either peel them or not. Place the potatoes into a large mixing bowl and add olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Coat all of the potatoes, and then place them into the air fryer basket.

Set the temperature to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 15 to 20 minutes. Shake the basket several times during the cooking process.

Why do you Soak potatoes in water before air frying?

The only reason to soak any potatoes before you air fryer them is to remove the starch, which causes potatoes not to crisp up.

Since we are making a traditional baked potato recipe, we do not need them to be crispy; therefore, I eliminated the step to soak the potato.

Do you need to wash baby potatoes?

I do usually wash all of my potatoes since they sometimes have trace amounts of dirt on them. You can either wash them under the sink or use a special brush, called a potato brush, to scrub them.

Make sure that no mater, how you wash them, you dry them completley.

How To Store Leftover Air Fryer Baby Potatoes

If you have any leftovers, let them cool to room temperature, and then place them into a Ziploc sealable bag or an airtight container. Place the container into the refrigerator, where they will last for about 2 to 3 days.

To reheat, you can either pan fry them, microwave them, or place them into the microwave. Heat until warmed through. You can add more melted butter, parsley, salt, and black pepper to reseason them.
