Chimichurri Sauce is made without cilantro in Argentina, but as the recipe came to America, we started to add cilantro.
Authentic Chimichurri Sauce contains no cilantro but more parsley, so if you want to make it truly authentic, eliminate the cilantro and substitute with more parsley or oregano.

How To Make Chimichurri Sauce
Add the parsley, cilantro, oregano, red onions, garlic, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, salt, red pepper flakes, and pulse in a blender. Slowly add in the olive oil until you reach the desired consistency.
Can I Use Dried Herbs?
For the best Chimichurri Sauce I would recommend that you use all fresh herbs. There is nothing better than fresh herbs for this sauce. It will create an amazing sauce or marinade for any protein it accompanys.
How to Store it and How Long Does it Keep?
After you make it, place it into an airtight container, place the container into the refrigerator. It will stay good for about 4 to 5 days in the refrigerator.
After that dispose of any leftover Chimichurri Sauce.
Can I Freeze It?
Yes, this freezes really well. I usually put the leftover Chimichurri Sauce into ice cube trays to defrost them in portion-sized as I need them.
To thaw, just place the leftover sauce into the refrigerator to thaw.
