Ingredients You’ll Need

- Halibut Filet: The star of the dish! Choose fresh or frozen fillets that are firm and moist.
- Olive Oil: Adds moisture and helps the seasonings stick. A good-quality olive oil enhances the flavor.
- Salt and Black Pepper: Essential for seasoning and bringing out the natural taste of the fish.
- Paprika and Smoked Paprika: Adds a smoky, slightly sweet flavor and a touch of color to the crust.
- Garlic Powder: Enhances the overall flavor with a subtle garlicky kick.
How to Make Air Fryer Halibut

Prepare the halibut: Rub the halibut fillets with olive oil or spray with cooking spray. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, smoked paprika and garlic powder.
Prep the air fryer: Brush the air fryer basket with cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper or a reusable silicone liner.

Cook the fish: Place the seasoned fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Set the temperature to 350°F and cook for 7–9 minutes. Adjust the time based on the thickness of the fillets. They’re done when the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve: Transfer the halibut to a plate and serve with tartar sauce, a squeeze of lemon juice, or your favorite side dishes.

Recipe Variations
- Lemon and Dill: Add fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresh flavor.
- Cajun Spice: Swap out the paprika for a Cajun spice blend to give the dish a spicy kick.
- Parmesan Crust: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of the fillets before cooking for a cheesy crust.
- Mediterranean Twist: Add a sprinkle of dried oregano and serve with Greek tzatziki sauce.
Tips & Tricks for Perfect Air Fryer Halibut
- Don’t overcrowd the basket: Arrange the fillets in a single layer to ensure even cooking.
- Use Parchment Paper: Lining the air fryer basket with parchment paper can help prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Check doneness: The fish is cooked when it flakes easily with a fork.
- Avoid overcooking: Halibut can dry out quickly, so keep an eye on the cooking time.
- Thaw well: If using frozen fillets, thaw them completely and pat them dry before cooking to remove excess moisture.

Perfect Sides and Sauces
- Tartar Sauce: A classic pairing for fish, its creamy and tangy flavors complement the halibut perfectly.
- Tzatziki Sauce: Light and refreshing, this yogurt-based sauce adds a Mediterranean twist.
- Parmesan Potatoes: Serve halibut with roasted, mashed, or air-fried potatoes for a hearty side.
- Roasted Vegetables: Add color and flavor to your plate with air-fried asparagus, carrots, or zucchini.
