Copycat Popeyes Tartar Sauce is amazing! If you have been looking for a great copycat recipe to get the same flavors, this is one of my favorites!

It is easy to make and absolutely delicious. This copycat version only has seven ingredients, but it packs a punch. It has a nice sharp taste, thanks to the horseradish, and it’s amazing. You can use it on anything from Air Fryer Fish to Air Fryer Fish Sticks!

Copycat Popeyes Tartar Sauce
If you have ever gone to Popeyes, you probably got a side of the Tartar Sauce, or it comes lathered on the Cajun Fish Sandwich.

It is really easy to make; you only need a few ingredients,
- Mayonnaise
- Sweet Pickle Relish
- Granulated Sugar
- Horseradish
- Salt
- Lemon Juice
- Cayenne Pepper
How To Make Copycat Popeyes Tartar Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, sugar, horseradish, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper.
Mix well, until smooth.

Some Recipe Notes:
While this is a copycat recipe, there are some great ways that you can jazz up this recipe.
One of my favorites is to add some diced onions to the mixture. Some other easy variations to spruce this tartar sauce up would be to add some fresh herbs; my favorite is parsley, green onions, and chives.
My youngest son loves everything hot, so he always adds some Hot Sauce to the mixture.
Preparation Notes:
For the best flavor, I usually prepare this in the morning so the mixture has a chance to marry together, for a while, for the best flavor.
If you have any leftovers, they will store for about 3 to 4 days if you put them in an airtight container.

Hi. My family doesn’t care for sweet very much. Could I substitute dill relish for the sweet or do you think this would affect the flavor too much? Thanks.
