Ingredients:

- Buttermilk or Olive Oil
- All-Purpose Flour
- Cornstarch
- Spices: Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Smoky Paprika, Red Pepper, and Black Pepper
- Cooking Spray
How To Make Air Fryer Flounder Fish

In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, and spices. Mix well. This will be your flour coating.

Dry the flounder filets off with a paper towel, then either soak the flounder in buttermilk or rub some olive oil over the fillets.

Then press the flour coating over the fillets, and press hard so that the coating adheres. Then use your oil mister and spray VERY GENEROUSLY with olive oil, avocado oil, or any other high heat oil.
Note: You really do not want to see any of the flour. Otherwise, as it air fries up, you will still have flour (white patches) on your fish fillets.
Set the temperature to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 5 minutes, flip and spray again, and then set the timer for another 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown.

How To Make This In An Oven
If you want to prepare this but want to cook this in the oven, that is really simple. Just preheat your oven to 475 degrees F.
Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray, then place your prepared fish fillets on top of the baking sheet.
Set into the oven for 8-10 minutes.
Some Pro Tips
- Make sure that you really coat your fish with cooking spray. Otherwise, you will get a lot of white spots or dark brown patches. You want the entire coating to be sprayed with cooking spray.
- Do not crowd the basket. Otherwise, your fish will not crisp up correctly.
- Thawed fish works the best. Although you can easily air fry up frozen fish, it is tough to batter frozen fish. So, try to use thawed fish.
- Dry the fish well with a paper towel; this way, the coating sticks.
How To Store Leftover Air Fryer Flounder Fish
If you have any leftover fish, let it cool to room temperature and then place the leftover flounder into an airtight container.
Place the container in the refrigerator, it will last about 2 to 3 days.
How To Reheat Leftover Air Fryer Flounder Fish
If you have any leftovers htat you would like to reaheat you can either use the microwave or place it back into the air fyrer.
Place your leftover flounder fish into the air fryer basket, spray it with some cooking spray and reheat at 350 degrees F, air fryer setting for 4-6 minutes. Flipping halfway.
