Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

Thanksgiving would not be Thanksgiving without a hearty bowl of Mashed Potatoes. Forget all of the work and worry about making them. I give one the easiest Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes Recipe.

If you have not tried Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes, I hope you get to soon. They are so easy, and absolutely delicious and best of all they are done in less than 20 minutes. Talk about a time saver.

And you can not get any better than homemade mashed potatoes, especially around the holidays. They make an excellent side dish for any meal. The greatest thing about the Instant Pot is that you do not have to watch it! Leaving you free to tend to your main entree.

Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

Red-skinned potatoes
Minced garlic
Grated Parmesan Cheese
Butter
Water
Salt
Black Pepper
Fresh Parsley

Simple Directions:

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. Add one cup of water to the Instant Pot.
  3. Add in the potatoes, sprinkle in the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the lid on the Instant Pot, setting the valve to the sealed position.
  5. Press the pressure cook/manual button, setting the timer to 5 minutes. *Note: It will take about 10 minutes to come to pressure, then cook another 5 minutes.
  6. Once the Instant Pot releases all of the pressure, open the Instant Pot lid.
  7. Fold in the Parmesan and butter.
  8. Using a hand mixer, mix until it’s the desired consistency.
  9. Top with fresh diced parsley.
  10. Plate, serve, and enjoy!

12 to 15 small/medium red skinned potatoes
3 tablespoons minced garlic
1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. Add one cup of water to the Instant Pot.
