If you have Whole Foods near you, you can either purchase a whole head of cauliflower, a bag of cauliflower florets, or a container of pre-shredded cauliflower that resembles rice.
However you purchase it, you will either have to grate it or not. That is really the only difference. You will use the same recipe for either form.

- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Black Pepper
How to Make Cauliflower Rice
The real secret to making cauliflower rice is to use a box grater and grate your cauliflower. So, wash and dry your cauliflower, remove all of the leaves, then grate. If you have a food processor, feel free to pulse it until it’s riced.
Once you have made your cauliflower rice, all you need to do is add olive oil to a medium-sized skillet. Over medium heat, head up the olive oil. Then add your rice, and saute. The perfect texture for cauliflower rice is crispy but yet tender. So, that will take about 4 to 6 minutes. Continue to stir as the rice cooks. Remove from heat, and season with salt and black pepper.
How long does cauliflower rice last?
If you want to grate the rice ahead of time, you can do that a couple of days ahead of time. Otherwise, you will find that it gets wilted and watery. So, it’s best prepped a day or two ahead of time.
If you want to cook the cauliflower rice ahead of time, it will last for about 3 to 5 days if you put it into an airtight container after cooking it.
Can you freeze riced cauliflower?
Yes, if you have ever noticed frozen cauliflower rice available in your freezer section, it makes for a great and easy recipe to make ahead and freeze.
To do that, let it cool to room temperature, then place the cooked cauliflower rice into a freezer-safe airtight container. It will last for about a month.

- 16 ounces fresh cauliflower (found in the produce department) rice
- 1/2 cup red pepper diced

Spray your tray or basket with olive oil

Then spread the cauliflower rice over the tray.

Set the basket or tray in the air fryer, and set the temperature to 350 degrees F, for 5 minutes, but you need to keep on stirring/shaking the rice so it doesn’t burn about every 2 minutes.

When there are 3 minutes left, add the diced red peppers and mix well.
