How to Make Air Fryer T Bone Steak

Step One: Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature, about 15-20 minutes.
Step Two: Rub olive oil over the steaks, then season with salt and black pepper to taste. Preheat air fryer temperature to 400 degrees F (205°C) for 3-5 minutes.
Step Three: Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket or tray. Set the air fryer cook time for 8-10 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through the cooking time for even crisping.

Step Four: Once the cooking time is up, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 4 minutes before serving.
Step Five: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter and Gorgonzola cheese. Mix well to combine. Place the rested steaks on plates and top with slices of Gorgonzola butter. Enjoy your delicious meal!

Air Fryer T Bone Steak Recipe Tips
- Bring Steak to Room Temperature: Allow the steak to come to room temperature before cooking to ensure even cooking and a tender result.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheating your air fryer ensures consistent temperature and even cooking, helping the steak achieve a crispy, golden crust.
- Flip the Steak Halfway: Flip the steak halfway through the cooking process to ensure it cooks evenly and develops a nice sear on both sides.
- Use a Meat Thermometer: For the best results, use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Aim for 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, and 150°F for well-done.
- Let the Steak Rest: After cooking, allow the steak to rest for 4-5 minutes. This helps redistribute the juices for a juicier, more flavorful steak.
- Customize the Seasoning: Feel free to adjust the seasoning with your favorite spices or add a steak rub for extra flavor.
- Try Different Butters: Top the steak with flavored butters, like garlic butter or herb butter, for added richness and flavor.
- Cook Time Adjustments: Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the steak. Thicker cuts may require slightly more time in the air fryer.

Air Fryer T Bone Steak Temperature
The best way to ensure your T bone in the air fryer is fully cooked is by using a meat thermometer. Insert it into the thickest part of the steak, avoiding the bone, to check the internal temperature.
The USDA Food Drug and Safety Administration provides the following guidelines for steak doneness:
- T Bone Steak Air Fryer Rare Temperature: 125 degrees F
- T Bone Steak Air Fryer Medium Temperature: 135 degrees F to 145 degrees F.
- T Bone Steak Air Fryer Well Done Temperature: 155 degrees F.

Getting ready to do my third t-bone steak in the air fryer. Your directions were easy and the meat came out nice and juicy on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. I use garlic butter to place on top of steak after cooking. I don’t like alot of red inside, so I cook it a little loner than what you describe, approximately 6 minutes per side. Thank You for your recipe.
