These air fryer chicken drumsticks cooked from frozen are jam-packed with flavor, yet they are so simple to prepare. This is one of my go-to meals when I don’t know what is for dinner, and I forgot to take out the freezer’s meat. You can cook these drumsticks or legs directly from the freezer.

They are great for a quick and easy dinner, and you can have them any day of the week. And best yet, you can season them with anything you have in the house. I will give you some of my favorite seasonings at the end of this post.

How Long To Make Frozen Chicken Legs In The Air Fryer?

The air frying time will take you between 25 to 35 minutes, at 360 degrees F. The exact time will depend on your air fryer and the size of the chicken thighs.

Are Air Fried Chicken Drumsticks healthy?

They are so much healthier than fried, as they are not sitting in the oil, that is traditional used in frying chicken.

Can you Air Fry Chicken Legs Frozen? 

Yes, although it will take longer to air fry, they can certainly be air fried frozen. However it is very hard to bread frozen chicken, so if you are looking to bread them, they are best done defrosted.

Easy Chicken Drumstick Seasonings

You can season a chicken drumstick with any spice combinations that you like. For frozen chicken legs, I recommend seasoning them. When you flip them, and they are defrosted, rub the seasoning on them. Here are my favorite combinations-

  • Lemon and Garlic: 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • BBQ Sauce-use your favorite BBQ sauce, apply in the last 5 minutes of cooking, otherwise it will burn.
  • Sriracha Sauce

Ingredients

  • 46 frozen chicken drumsticks
  • Your favorite seasonings

Instructions

  1. Place your frozen chicken legs (drumsticks) into the air fryer basket, 
  2. Set the temperature to 360 degrees F for 15 minutes. 
  3. After 15 minutes, use a pair of tongs, flip the drumsticks, and air fry for another 10-15 minutes more.
  4. Use a meat thermometer to make sure the chicken is fully cooked before removing it from the air fryer basket.
  5. Plate, serve, and enjoy!
