How To Make Air Fryer Turkish Lamb Wraps

Step 1: In a large bowl, add the ground lamb. Grate the onion and add it to the bowl. Mince the garlic cloves and mix them in. Add ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and black pepper. Stir in chopped fresh parsley. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.

Step 2: Preheat your air fryer temperature to 375 degrees F (190°C), if required. Form the seasoned lamb mixture into small patties or crumble it loosely. Place in the air fryer basket and set cook time for 10-12 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through, until browned and fully cooked.

Step 3: In a small bowl, combine plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir in dried mint or dill and a pinch of salt. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 4: Wash and shred the lettuce. Dice fresh tomatoes. Thinly slice ½ cup of red onion. Warm 4 large flatbreads or wraps until soft and pliable.

Step 5: Lay a warm flatbread on a plate. Add a layer of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced red onion. Top with cooked lamb. Drizzle generously with the yogurt sauce. Wrap, fold, or roll, and enjoy warm!

Air Fryer Turkish Lamb Wraps Recipe Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer – Cook the lamb in batches if needed to ensure even browning and crisp texture.
- Grate the onion finely – This helps it blend into the lamb mixture and keeps the filling juicy.
- Use a meat thermometer – Ground lamb should reach an internal temp of 160°F for safe cooking.
- Warm the wraps before assembling – Soft, pliable wraps are easier to fold and won’t tear.
- Customize your toppings – Add feta, pickled onions, or hot sauce for extra flavor.
Storing, Freezing and Reheating
- Storing: Store leftover lamb filling separately in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezing: Freeze cooked lamb filling in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months; thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
- Reheating: Reheat the lamb in the air fryer at 350°F for 5–6 minutes or in a skillet until warmed through. Assemble wraps fresh for best texture.

What To Serve With Air Fryer Turkish Lamb Wraps
Air Fryer Turkish Lamb Wraps pair perfectly with a variety of fresh and flavorful sides. Try serving them with a crisp cucumber-tomato salad, herbed couscous, or roasted chickpeas for a satisfying Mediterranean-inspired meal.
Hummus, baba ganoush, or tzatziki with warm pita chips make excellent starters or sides, while a light lemon orzo salad adds a refreshing contrast.
For a heartier option, consider air-fried potato wedges or sweet potato fries seasoned with za’atar or garlic. Don’t forget a glass of mint lemonade or iced tea to round out the meal!
