How to Make Easy Air Fryer Steakhouse Potatoes

Step One: Begin by preheating the air fryer to 400°F. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cold water, using a vegetable brush to remove any dirt from the skins.

Step Two: Brush each potato with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with sea salt or kosher salt for flavor and crisping.
Step Three: Place the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
Step Four: Slice each cooked potato with a sharp knife, add your favorite toppings, and serve hot.

Easy Air Fryer Steakhouse Potatoes Recipe Tips
- Just like with all Air Fryer recipes, make sure you don’t overcrowd the basket with too many potatoes, and leave a bit of room between them for the hot air to circulate.
- Choose the best quality potatoes you can find. If you see any greenish spots or areas on the potatoes, they’ve gone past their prime, and it’s best not to use them.
- Use Russet or Idaho potatoes for this recipe. They have just the right amount of starch, which makes them crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside.
- Don’t forget to poke holes into the potatoes. Doing this allows the potato to get soft on the inside, lets the steam escape, and the skin crisps up perfectly on the outside too!

Storage And Reheating Instructions
- Refrigeration: If you have any leftover steakhouse baked potatoes, allow them to cool down completely, wrap them in foil and then transfer them to an airtight container. You can then refrigerate them for up to 3 days and reheat them, top them with your favorite toppings and serve them whenever you want to.
- Reheating: The best way to reheat the potatoes is to use your Air Fryer. Add them to the Air Fryer basket, preheated at 360°F and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the potatoes get hot and crispy.
Serving Ideas & Suggestions
These fluffy baked spuds taste incredible when paired with a meaty main like turkey tenderloin, Ninja Foodi pork tenderloin, grilled flank steak or even some Air Fryer prime rib.
And on days when I want to keep it light, I serve it with some classic baked beans, blackstone catfish or even just some air fried catfish.
Easy Air Fryer Steakhouse Potatoes Recipe Faqs
How will I know the potatoes are done cooking? The best way to check for the doneness of the potatoes is to poke a knife or a fork into them at the 20 minute mark. If it glides through, the potatoes are done. You can also use a thermometer to check their internal temperature. The ideal temperature for a fully cooked potato ranges between 210°F and 212°F.
Should I wrap the potatoes in foil before air frying them? If you’re making Air Fryer steakhouse potatoes, you don’t need to cover them in foil. In fact, doing that will cause them to become soft and soggy, and they won’t have that perfect crispy skin you’re looking for.
Can I make steakhouse baked potatoes in the oven? Yes, you can! Air Frying is much better though, since it is quicker than baking, and also translates into less mess and cleanup.

Instructions
- The first step is to prepare the 4 Russet potatoes. Start by washing them thoroughly with cold water and a vegetable brush.

- Next, brush each potato with 2 tablespoons oil and sprinkle it with 2 teaspoons sea salt. This will add flavor and help the potatoes get nice and crispy in the air fryer
- Place the potatoes into your air fryer basket, leaving enough room between them for even cooking. Set the fryer temperature to 400 degrees F and set cook time for 25-30 minutes. Remove when fork tender and golden brown.

These look just like the ones at the steak house, delicious. Must try one right now.

I reviewed these after I made them the first time. I have since made them two more times. I cook for one. This is a perfect recipe for me. I do one potato, eat one half the first night, then reheat the other half the second night. It’s an easy side for hot summer nights.

I have the air fryer feature built in to my oven. Heard of a half baked potato? If you use air fry feature on your oven that’s what you will get.

I’ll have to try poking the potatoes next time. I love baked potatoes out of our air fryer! I do microwave them for 3 minutes or so before air frying them. It cuts the total cooking time in half.
