What Are Baked Beans?
Baked beans is a dish prepared with beans, then mixed with a few pantry items, and then baked to perfection. Although you can leave out the bacon, most baked bean recipes will include bacon or bacon bits.
The beans will vary from canned to navy beans, common beans, kidney, cannellini, or French beans. Today, I used a simple canned bean to make this a quick and easy meal to whip up as a side dish.
