Pair it with chopped celery and blue cheese crumbles in the filling for a nod to classic buffalo chicken wings. Serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Pro Tips For Making The Best Air Fryer Cilantro Chicken Egg Rolls

  • Chicken: You can use shredded rotisserie chicken if you have it on hand or prefer it rather than cubed breast. This makes for a great place to use up leftover chicken.
  • Crowding: For best results, do not crowd the air fryer; otherwise, the air will not cook up the egg roll wrappers. You will end up with a soft egg roll rather than a crunchy one, so for best results, leave lots of room around the, to let the air fryer work its magic.
  • Flipping: Depending on your air fryer, you must flip them about halfway during cooking. This will depend on what air fryer you are using and where the heating element is located on your air fryer.
  • Cooking Egg Rolls In An Air Fryer Oven: Place them on the lowest shelf or rack if you are making these egg rolls. This way, the outside and inside will cook at about the same time.

Make-Ahead and Freezing Homemade Air Fryer Egg Rolls

Making your egg rolls is a lot of fun, but it can also be time-consuming. If you want to save some time or don’t have an air fryer, consider making and freezing them ahead of time. It’s easy to do, and your egg rolls will taste delicious!

Storing: To store leftover egg rolls, let them cool to room temperature and place them in an airtight container. They will last in the refrigerator for about 2 to 3 days.

Reheating: If you have any leftover egg rolls, place them back into the air fryer to reheat; they will crisp up with a quick cooking spray. Heat until they are warmed through.

Freezing is a great recipe for easily doubling and freezing one batch.

To freeze egg rolls, let them cool to room temperature, place them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze until frozen solid. Then remove them and put them into a freezer bag or freezer-safe container. They will last for about 2 to 3 months.

For best results, cook them from frozen, place them into the air fryer, and set the temperature to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting and cook until heated through.
