Air Fryer, Homemade Doritos Chips
This was just a project, that I was working on with my leftover corn tortillas, from last week’s homemade salsa and chips, and I came up with this, after searching the web for what the perfect Dorito is made from, here are my results.
Start by melting butter in a small ramekin (I used the microwave)
Then in a resealable bag, mix together the parmesan cheese, chili powder, smoked paprika, and salt.
Then use a pastry brush to brush the butter over the corn tortilla, both sides.
Using a pizza cutter, cut the corn tortillas into triangles ( I cut mine in half, and then each side got three wedges)
Then dip the wedges into the cheese mixture, making sure both sides are well coated.
Then place the coated wedges onto an oil-sprayed air fryer basket or tray, and set the temperate for 300 degrees F, for 5 minutes. (air fryer setting)
(Give a quick spray of olive oil, on the wedges)
Leave them to cool, they will harden as they cool.
Plate, serve and enjoy!
