How To Make Crispy Avocado Egg Rolls In Air Fryer
Step One: Prepare The Avocado Mixture
In a medium bowl, start by mashing your avocados. Then finely chop your sundried tomatoes and onions and add to the avocados. Juice the lime and sprinkle over your mashed avocado. Add the remaining ingredients to the avocado filling. And finely chop your cilantro and add to the avocado. Mix everything until well combined.
Step Two: Prepare The Egg Rolls
Then take one sheet of your egg roll wrapper, place it on a flat surface, or cutting board, and put about one tablespoon of avocado filling, in the middle of an egg roll wrappers.
Step Three:
Roll the corner over your filling, and press gently to make it tight and firm. Then fold in your corners, like an envelope, and keep rolling until you’re near the last corner. Brush a little water, with a pastry brush, on the last corner and close. The water will help seal the eggroll
Step Four:
Then put the eggrolls in the air fryer basket, in a single layer, and make sure they all have a little bit of space, and none of them are touching each other. Spray with cooking spray (or avocado oil) and set the temperature to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting, and the cooking time 6-8 minutes. Make sure to flip them over halfway.
Pro Tips For The Best Air Fryer Egg Rolls
- Ripe Avocados: The trick to picking ripe avocados is to look for slightly soft ones. You don’t want them too hard or mushy, though! If the avocado is too firm, it won’t be good, so make sure you feel around their skin before buying one.
- How To Ripen An Avacado Fast: Want to help speed up the ripening process of your avocados? Place them into a paper bag overnight.
- Assembling Egg Rolls: Roll tightly, and be careful not to overfill the egg roll. Otherwise, you will end up filling in your air fryer.
- Pastry Brush: Use a pastry brush, and brush with water on the edges of the egg roll wrapper, so they stick together.
- Crispy Egg Rolls: Spray your egg rolls with a light coating of cooking spray (canola oil spray) to help them crisp up perfectly. You can also use olive oil spray, be sure to coat the sides of the egg roll, so they crisp up!
- Crowding: Do not crowd the air fryer basket. Otherwise, the egg rolls will never crisp up.
- Flipping: Depending on your air fryer, you may need to flip these halfway during the cooking process, so both sides cook up perfectly. Remove when golden brown.

How to Find The Perfect Avocado
Finding a ripe avocado is no easy task. You don’t want to get home with your avocados only to find them mealy and hard as rocks. But there are ways you can ensure that the avocados in your grocery cart will be perfectly ripe every time. Look for bright great or black avocados.
The first step to finding the perfect avocado is selecting an avocado that is firm enough to ripen but not so hard that it will never get ripe. To determine this, gently press on the avocado with your finger. If it feels slightly soft and gives a little bit, then you’ve found an avocado that can easily be ripened at home.
Once you have selected a few avocados that feel ripe, it’s time to check for brown spots. Often you will find brown spots on the skin of an avocado and the only way to tell if they are hidden inside is by cutting into them. If you have trouble finding avocados that aren’t riddled with brown spots, most grocery stores will sell already-cut avocados that have been packaged in the refrigerator section.
How to Ripen an Avocado
A ripe avocado is creamy and buttery in texture when cut into. To ripen an avocado, leave it on the counter or place it in a brown paper bag with a banana for two to three days to soften and sweeten. To speed up the ripening process, place a few apples in the bag with the unripe avocados; the ethylene gas produced by the apples will help in the avocado ripening process.
How to Store Homemade Egg Rolls
Let your leftover egg rolls cool to room temperature, and then place them into an airtight container. They will last in the refrigerator for 2–3 days.
How to Reheat Avocado Egg Rolls
Avocado egg rolls are a delicious and easy appetizer that can be made in minutes. They’re perfect for serving at parties since they’re bite-sized and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
To reheat avocado egg rolls, start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees F. Then, place the egg rolls on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake them for about 10-12 minutes, or until they’re warmed through. You can also try heating the egg rolls in the microwave, which is a faster way to reheat them. Simply place the egg rolls on a microwave-safe plate and heat them for about 30 seconds before enjoying them.
How To Reheat Leftover Egg Rolls In Air Fryer
The first thing to do when using an air fryer to reheat fried egg rolls is to preheat your appliance. Place it in a 400-degree oven and let it heat up for 3-5 minutes. Next, take out the egg rolls and place them in the basket of the air fryer. When your egg rolls are in the basket, spray them with cooking oil to ensure they get nice and crispy. Once they’re coated, close the lid and let them cook for 3-5 minutes.
