Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread

Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread — Apple cinnamon monkey bread is one of my favorite treats. It has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, making it more than just a breakfast treat. The best part about this recipe is that you can make it with an air fryer! This means less time in the kitchen for you, but still delicious results.

Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread

Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread makes for such a great and delicious breakfast. My kids loved this quick sweet, and rich cinnamon pull-apart bread.

There is nothing better for a great, quick and delicious breakfast, snack, or dessert than this recipe for Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread.

If you have been looking for great recipes for the fall, using your air fryer is one of you the best, and it’s so easy. You will be doing it all of the time!

Baking in the Air Fryer is so much fun! I love it, and without the need to preheat your oven, you save so much time!

And of course, with the hot air cooking up your food to perfection, your will be utterly shocked at how great baking in the Air Fryer is. So no matter if you have the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Vortex, GoWise, or any other Air Fryer Basket or Air Fryer Oven Model. This recipe will work wonderfully.

And of course, once you start baking in the Air Fryer, you will never want to stop. Here are some of my favorite Air Fryer Dessert Recipes AIR FRYER CARAMEL APPLE DANISH, AIR FRYER NUTELLA CROISSANTS, AIR FRYER CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS, and AIR FRYER COOKIE DOUGH EGG ROLLS.

How To Make Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread

Chopped Apples in Bowl with Ground Cinnamon

Chop apples into small pieces (discard the stem, seeds, and core). Place apple pieces and cinnamon in a bowl. Add brown sugar and melted butter mix well until apples are evenly coated. Set aside.

Diced Biscuits

Cut biscuits into ¼ pieces. Place the ¼ pieces into a large bowl.

Pour Apple Pie Filing over biscuits

Preheat the air fryer to 325 degrees F, air fryer setting. Pour apple mixture over biscuit pieces. Using a large spoon, gently mix it, so the biscuit pieces are completely covered in the apple mixture.

Grease a bundt cake pan*. Transfer the apple-covered biscuits to your bundt cake pan. Spreading the mixture evenly around the edges.  Place it right into the AirFryer. Air fry for 18-22 minutes. It should turn a nice golden brown. When you insert a toothpick, it should come out clean if the dough is fully cooked!

Remove from heat, allow to cool for 8 minutes. Flip bundt cake pan upside down on a plate, allowing the monkey bread to fall out easily.

Pro Tips:

  • I used a bundt cake pan, and it fit perfectly in my air fryer. If a bundt cake pan is too big for your air fryer, use another pan that fits – a loaf pan or a small cake pan..you can even use foil! If you use foil, remember to spray it with a nonstick cooking spray and arrange the monkey bread together so that it is all touching but is a little bit flatter than if you had it in a pan.
  • You can use any apple you’d like – I find the Fuji or Pink Lady varieties work best for this.
  • The glaze is optional, you don’t have to glaze it, but it helps keep it moist for longer.
  • This monkey bread is deliciously fresh if kept covered in the fridge for 4-5 days. It’s the perfect breakfast treat to make for holidays or weekends, and it’s so easy to do! Crispy on the edges with a pillowy soft center. The apples, cinnamon, and butter combine for the perfect comforting flavors!
  • This recipe can be prepared in any air fryer basket or oven model. Even the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Crisp Lid or Mealthy Lid.

Optional Icing/Glaze:

Make a quick glaze by combining the milk and the confectioner’s sugar. Stir well.

Sprinkle the monkey bread with an additional pinch of cinnamon & sugar. Pour the glaze over the top.

Variations:

Today, I made a classical Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread, but there are many ways to change this recipe out. Some of my favorite variations are:

  • Nuts: Add some great diced pecans, walnuts, or even dry roasted nuts. Mix them in when you mix the diced apples, so they are folded into the mixture.
  • Drizzle: Serve with a drizzle of icing, (recipe above) caramel glaze, or even chocolate sauce, before serving.
  • Add-Ins: Some great add-ins are diced cooked bacon, raisins, or even some dried fruit.

Make-Ahead & Storage:

This air fryer apple cinnamon monkey bread is deliciously fresh if kept covered in the fridge for 4-5 days. The important thing is that you need to make sure it’s sealed to dry out.

Use and wrap your money bread in saran wrap, and then place it into the refrigerator, as the air tends to dry it out.

You can reheat the Air Fryer Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread in either the microwave or in the air fryer right before serving.

Freezing:

For best results, I would not advise freezing this money bread, and as when it is frozen, it tends to defrost as a dried-out piece of dough.

For best results, make a new one every time you want one. And since it bakes up in minutes, it’s well worth it.

What size can of biscuit dough did you use? They come in several sizes. There are big biscuits in 5 and 8 biscuit size, and little biscuits in several sizes.
