How to Toast English Muffins in Air Fryer
Below you’ll find step-by-step instructions to follow along as you make this recipe at home. I’ll also share some of my favorite ways to jazz them up!
Step 1: Prepare the English muffins
The first thing I learned about slicing English muffins when I was a little girl is that you DO NOT use a knife.
Use a fork instead! Insert one into the small pre-cut slice to pry the two sides away from each other. If you use a knife, you’ll get rid of all of those yummy pockets, meant for the butter to melt into.
Step 2: Air fry
After you’ve cut the English muffin, add it to the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 400 degrees F. Air fry for 2-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with butter if desired and enjoy!

Air Fryer English Muffin Pro Tips

- Adjust the Cooking Time: All air fryer models are different! The cooking time may vary depending on the size of your English muffins and the specific settings of your model. Start with 2 minutes and check for doneness. If they need more time, add it!
- Experiment with Flavors: You can easily add extra flavor to your air fryer English muffins by brushing them with a flavored oil first! Garlic-infused, truffle, or spicy oil would all taste great. Or, add some dried herbs like rosemary, thyme, or paprika.
