- Dried fruit (raisins or cranberries): Adds sweetness and chewy texture in every bite
- Chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds): Crunchy topping for protein and added richness

- Fresh fruit (optional): Topping for added color, sweetness, and nutrients
How To Make Copycat Starbucks Oatmeal

Step 1: Add steel-cut oats, water, and salt to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
Step 2: Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on Manual High Pressure for 4 minutes.
Step 3: Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.

Step 4: Open the lid and stir the oats well. Let sit for a few minutes to thicken, if needed.
Step 5: Scoop into bowls and top with dried fruit, chopped nuts, sweetener, and fresh fruit if desired.

Instant Pot Copycat Starbucks Oatmeal Recipe Tips
- Use steel-cut oats only – Rolled or quick oats will turn mushy in the Instant Pot. Stick with steel-cut for that signature chewy texture.
- Grease the pot or use a liner – This helps prevent sticking or scorching on the bottom as the oats cook.
- Natural release is key – Letting the pressure release naturally ensures the oats finish cooking gently and stay creamy.
- Add sweeteners and toppings after cooking – Stir in brown sugar, fruit, or nuts once the oats are fully done for the best flavor and texture.
- Double the batch easily – This recipe scales well. Just keep the water-to-oats ratio the same and don’t exceed the Instant Pot’s fill line.
Storing & Reheating Instructions
Storing: Let the oatmeal cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Freezing: Spoon cooled oatmeal into freezer-safe containers or portion into silicone muffin cups. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge or reheat directly from frozen.
Reheating: To reheat, microwave a portion with a splash of water or milk for 1–2 minutes, stirring halfway through. On the stovetop, warm over low heat with a little liquid until creamy and heated through. Add toppings just before serving.

Copycat Starbucks Oatmeal Recipe Faqs
Can I use quick oats instead of steel-cut oats? Quick oats will cook faster but have a softer, less chewy texture. For the authentic Starbucks feel, steel-cut oats are best.
Can I make this oatmeal vegan? Yes! Use water or a plant-based milk instead of dairy milk and skip any non-vegan toppings.
What toppings work best? Dried fruits, nuts, fresh fruit, and a drizzle of maple syrup or brown sugar complement the oatmeal perfectly.
Can I add protein to this recipe? Absolutely! Stir in a scoop of protein powder after cooking or top with nuts for extra protein.
