What Type of Pork Chops To Use to Make This Stuffed Pork Chops Air Fryer Recipe
Pork chops come in a variety of cuts, and the best ones to use for stuffing are:
- Blade Chop: The fattiest cut from pork shoulder. The meat is dark and juicy with a crisp exterior that will make you want to sink your teeth into it!
- Rib Chop: Comes from just below our most prized cut: the loin (sometimes called “loins”). These have a bit more fat on them than boneless pork chops, but the fat cooks up perfectly and coats the pork chops as it cooks up.

How To Make The Cut In The Pork Chop
Using a paring knife, cut slits in each chop. To do this, insert the knife horizontally into the fat-covered edge and move back and forth 1 1/2 – 2 inches wide to make a great place to add your filings.
The key is to make sure that you do not cut all the way through. You can use toothpicks if needed to close it back together — soak them in water first to ensure they don’t burn.
Can I Put Raw Pork In An Air Fryer?
You sure can, and this recipe for stuffed pork chop in air fryer is proof! You just need to be careful to cook the chops completely before removing them from the basket. Rely on your trusty food thermometer to tell you when they’re cooked to at least 145 degrees F.
