Easy Air Fryer Italian Cold Cut Stromboli Recipe Tips
- Use parchment paper: Lining the air fryer basket with parchment paper can help prevent sticking and make clean-up easier.
- Seal the edges properly: Make sure the dough is tightly sealed around the fillings to avoid any leakage during cooking.
- Preheat your air fryer: Preheating the air fryer ensures even cooking and gives your stromboli that golden, crispy exterior.
- Cut slits in the dough: Cutting slits in the stromboli before cooking helps it cook evenly and prevents it from puffing up too much.
- Use a light hand with fillings: Overstuffing the stromboli can make it harder to seal and may cause the dough to tear. Stick to a moderate amount of filling.
- Brush with butter for extra flavor: Brushing the dough with melted butter and garlic adds a delicious flavor and helps achieve a golden brown crust.
- Monitor cooking time: Cooking times can vary based on the size of your stromboli and your specific air fryer. Check it at 10 minutes and adjust as needed.
Storage
- Storage: Store leftover Air Fryer Italian Stromboli in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Make sure it’s fully cooled before placing it in the container to prevent sogginess.
- Freezing: To freeze, wrap the cooled stromboli tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place it in a freezer bag. It can be stored in the freezer for up to 2-3 months.
- Reheating: Reheat the stromboli in the air fryer at 350°F for 4-5 minutes, or until heated through and crispy. Alternatively, you can reheat it in the oven at 375°F for about 10 minutes.
