How To Make Broccoli In Air Fryer

Step 1: Cut into florets
Slice off the thick stem, then break apart the fluffy top into smaller pieces. You may need to cut off extra pieces of stem a second time.
Step 2: Toss with olive oil
Drizzle florets with a little olive oil and toss until every piece is coated.

Step 3: Cook
Put broccoli in the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 350 degrees F. Air fry for 4 minutes, mix well, then cook for another 4 minutes.

Step 4: Serve
Transfer the air fried broccoli to a platter and add any additional seasonings you prefer. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Pro Tips:
- Don’t forget the oil! Coating the florets in olive oil is the most important step. As you can see from the pictures, I usually add the florets and oil to a bowl and use my hands to toss them together. Coating each floret with olive oil helps the florets to roast perfectly.
- Cook in a single layer. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket. Put broccoli in the air fryer in one even layer. Otherwise, the florets will not air fry correctly.
- Keep a close eye on the broccoli. I am constantly checking and shaking the basket every few minutes. This will ensure that your broccoli florets are PERFECTLY roasted. Do not just leave them and hope for the best, especially if this is your first time making this broccoli air fryer recipe.
- Know your air fryer model. Remember, every air fryer is different. Note down which combination of time and temperature worked best to make future cooking easier!
Storing and Reheating Air Fryer Broccoli
Because this broccoli air fryer recipe is so simple and easy, why not make it fresh each time?
That said, you can always refrigerate leftovers for 3-5 days in an airtight container. When you’re ready to eat, pop the florets back in the air fryer and heat for a few minutes until hot and crispy.
Can You Cook Frozen Broccoli in Air Fryer?
Yes, you can air fry frozen broccoli. In fact, I have a lot of fabulous recipes for air fryer vegetables using frozen.
I recommend that you add the oil after the vegetables have defrosted a bit. Or, cook straight from frozen using the same temperature as this broccoli air fryer recipe. Just increase the cooking time by a few minutes.
Then, toss the air fryer roasted broccoli in oil and seasonings while it’s still hot.
Is Broccoli Good in the Air Fryer?
YES! Air Fryer Roasted Broccoli is amazing and healthy because you use less oil than roasting in your oven, but the air fryer helps to crisp the broccoli just as well.
One cup of broccoli contains:
- 61 calories
- 4 grams of fat
- 6 grams of carbohydrates
- 2 grams of fiber
- 3 grams of protein
That makes this air fryer broccoli recipe a delicious and healthy side dish for any meal!
Can I Make This Air Fryer Broccoli Recipe Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! Air fried broccoli is a great option to make when you have the time and refrigerate until the next day.
I often make a bunch of air fryer vegetables during the week. To keep vegetables at their peak, cook and allow them cool to room temperature.
Then, place the vegetables in an airtight container and refrigerate until serving time. Reheat in the air fryer or the microwave until warmed through.
