This was so good! Like all of you, I usually bake on Sundays, and give my kids and family something amazing! This recipe is really easy. Most of the ingredients can be found in either your refrigerator or pantry. Here are some notes on the ingredients:

  • Butter: Use unsalted room temperature butter.
  • Granulated Sugar and Brown Sugar: If you are looking for a low-sugar or diabetic-friendly air fryer recipe for coffee cake, you can use Splenda instead (or another sugar substitute)
  • Vanilla: I usually recommend using pure vanilla extract, when baking, since the flavor is so much better than imitation.
  • Egg: Use large room temperature eggs.
  • Flour: I use all-purpose flour. You can also use gluten-free all-purpose flour.
  • Baking Powder: Make sure your baking powder is fresh, for the best light and fluffy coffee cake!
  • Milk: I used regular milk, but you can use oat milk, almond milk, or another dairy-free alternative.
  • Seasonings/Spices: Salt and Ground Cinnamon

Make The Coffee Cake: In a small bowl, cream the butter and granulated white sugar, then fold in the vanilla extract and egg, and mix well. Then fold in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and milk, and mix well.

Make The Filling: In a small mixing bowl, mix together the butter, ground cinnamon, flour, and brown sugar, mix well.

Make The Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the butter, flour, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.

Prepare the Pan: Use either a bundt cake pan or a small baking pan. The size of the pan will depend on the air fryer that you are using. Grease the pan with cooking spray.

Fill The Cake Pan: Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Then sprinkle the filling over the cake batter, then cover the filling with the rest of the cake batter. Sprinkle the topping over the top.

Cook: Set the cake into the air fryer basket and cook for 15 to 30 minutes at 320 degrees F, using the air fryer setting. Air Fry until the toothpick when inserted into the middle of the cake, comes out clean.

Storing Tips

Store: If you have any leftover coffee cake, let it cool to room temperature, and then lace it into an airtight container. It will last for about 2 days at room temperature, for any longer place the cake into the refrigerator, where it will last for about a week.

Freezing: If want to make and freeze this, this is a great recipe for meal planning. I always make some and wrap the slices in saran wrap, and then place the wrapped coffee cake slices into a freezer bag. The cake will last for about a month. You can defrost the coffee cake overnight in the refrigerator.

How To Reheat Coffee Cake in The Air Fryer

There is nothing better in the morning than a piece of warm coffee cake and a hot cup of coffee. To reheat, place your sliced coffee cake into the air fryer basket, set the temperature to 300 degrees F, and heat for a couple of minutes, or until the coffee cake is warmed through.
