Can I Add Chocolate Chips to this Recipe?

Yes, that would be a great way to elevate this Air Fryer Crumb Cake even more. Add about 1/2 to 3/4 a cup of mini or regular-sized chocolate chips.

Can I Use All Whole Wheat Flour?

Yes, if you want to switch out the all-purpose flour or either whole wheat flour or gluten-free flour, that would be fine.

If you want to use whole wheat, I will do equal portions of whole wheat and all-purpose flour.

How Should I Store Crumb Cake?

Crumb cake can be at room temperature for a few days. I would cover it with saran wrap and then leave it out on your counter.

It should last for about 3 to 4 days. For any longer, place covered into the refrigerator, where it should last for about a week.

Can I Freeze Air Fryer Crumb Cake?

Yes, this is a great make-ahead recipe that freezes really well. To freeze, just cut the coffee cake into pieces, and place the pieces on a baking tray. Place the baking tray into the freezer and freeze until the crumb cake is frozen solid.

Remove the frozen crumb cake, place it into an airtight freezer container, or wrap it in saran wrap and then foil.

To Use From Frozen: Place your frozen crumb cake on the counter until it thaws.

Can I Make the Batter into Muffins?

Yes, that would work perfectly. There is nothing better than a coffee cake muffin. And the air fryer will do a great job at keeping the coffee crumb cake moist and delicious.

Use an air fryer muffin pan, and pour the batter in, filling 2/3 the way full. Set the temperature to 320 degrees F, and air fryer setting for 10 to 12 minutes.
