How To Make Air Fryer Rib Eye With Garlic & Basil Butter
Let your meat come to room temperature, about 30 minutes. This will let your steaks cook more evenly.
Start by preheating the air fryer. Steak is one of the few recipes that I preheat the air fryer for. But the meat will come out better, so turn the air fryer oven/basket on for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F, air fryer setting.
Then rub the olive oil or butter all over the steak and season with salt and pepper. I added some cut-up rosemary over the steak. Set the steaks in the air fryer for 6 minutes, then flip and air fry for another 6 minutes.
Let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes. Serve with the garlic and basil compound butter on top.
SOME TIPS FOR COOKING STEAK IN THE AIR FRYER
- When preparing your steaks, make sure that they have been at room temperature for about half an hour before cooking. This will help them cook more evenly and avoid the dreaded pink-in-the-middle syndrome!
- Don’t forget the salt and pepper before you fry it! It’s a good idea to apply some of your favorite seasonings too.
- Start with a preheated air fryer, run it for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, before adding your steak.
- Flip your steak halfway during the cooking process, so the entire steak is perfectly cooked.
- Let your steak reset for a few minutes before serving it. This way, the juices will run to the middle.
- For best results, use a meat thermometer, which will take the internal temperature.
