Tips For The Best Air Fryer Homemade Toaster Strudel

  • Whatever you stuff them with, these tips will help your food turn out great every time.
  • For best results, do not overfill your toaster strudel. Otherwise, the filling will ooze out. Unfortunately, your filling will end up all over the place. So, add a couple of tablespoons of the filling, and make sure that you can quickly seal your strudel.
  • Use your fingers and press well, sealing the edges, and this will ensure that your filling stays in place if you need to add a small amount of water so that the puff pastry sticks to each other.
  • You can use either an Air Fryer Basket or Oven Model for this recipe. If you are using an Air Fryer Oven Model, place your Toaster Strudel on the lowest shelf, so both the outside of the toaster strudel and the inside get perfectly cooked.

More Filling Options:

Just like the store-bought version, there are many ways that you can change this homemade toaster strudel.

Some of my favorite fillings are:

  • Strawberry Jam
  • Cream Cheese and Strawberry Jam
  • Apple Jam or Preserves
  • Blueberry Jam or Preserves
  • Cherry Pie Filling
  • Raspberry Jam or Preserves
  • Wildberry Jam or Preserves
  • Vanilla Pudding or Chocolate Pudding
  • Apricot Preserves
  • Apple Pie Filling
  • Pumpkin Pie Filling
  • Lemon Curd

How To Store:

This is a great recipe that you can easily make ahead of time and reheat. Let the toaster strudels cool to room temperature and then place them into an airtight container. Put into the refrigerator. They should last for 2 to 3 days.

You can reheat the Air Fryer Homemade Toaster Strudel in either the microwave or in the air fryer. Heat until warmed through.

How To Freeze:

These make for a great and easy freezer meal, a perfect snack or breakfast that you can have for the kids. I love making a double batch over the weekend for a quick on-the-go breakfast.

Here are some tips to get a great batch of freezer toaster strudels.

  1. Let the toaster strudels cool to room temperature before placing them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  2. Place the baking tray into the freezer, and freeze until frozen solid.
  3. Wrap each frozen toaster strudel in saran wrap, and then place it into a freezer-safe container or freezer bag.
  4. When you use these, remove them from the freezer and thaw them overnight in the refrigerator.
  5. Heat up in the microwave, toaster, or even air fryer. Heat until warmed thoroughly.

Can I Bake These In The Oven?

Yes, If you’re looking for an easy alternative to air frying your toaster strudels and they don’t have the air fryer yet (hint hint), try baking them at 425 degrees Fahrenheit in its oven. You’ll want 20 minutes of cooking time so keep an eye on these babies!

Which is the best air fryer to use?

Air Fryers are a great way to cook healthier without sacrificing taste. But what is the best air fryer? It all comes down to your needs and preferences.

For An Oven Model, my recommendation is: If you need something that can handle big batches of food, choose one of my favorites, such as Instant Omni Plus Air Fryer, Rotisserie and Convection Oven, Dehydrated, Roast, Broil, Bake, Toast, Reheat, Pizza Oven, 18Liter, 1800W, Black and Stainless Steel!

For An Air Fryer Basket Model, my recommendation is: A simple and straightforward model that you can easily use and clean up is COSORI Air Fryer Max XL(100 Recipes) Digital Hot Oven Cooker, One Touch Screen with 11 Cooking Functions, Preheat and Shake Reminder, 5.8 QT, Black.
