Next, cut the sides (crust) of the bread slices and flatten the bread with the help of a rolling pin. Take a teaspoon of Nutella, spread it on one end of the flattened bread, and sprinkle chopped cherries on top of the Nutella. Roll the bread, and dab a little Nutella on the end to seal.
Dip the bread roll in the egg mixture and then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 180-degree C (350-degree F). Brush the basket with little butter and put the coated bread rolls in it (4-5 per batch). Brush a little butter on top. Cook for 3 minutes on one side, then turn and cook for another 3 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat with other bread rolls.

WHAT ARE OTHER FLAVORS OTHER THAN NUTELLA?
These sweet, french toast roll-ups are so versatile! You can fill them with anything- jam or peanut butter and jelly for a classic flavor combo. But the best thing about these french toast roll-ups? They are so easy to make, and every family member can decide on its favorite flavor, from strawberries, blueberries, apple, or even plain. The cinnamon-sugar coating is fantastic!
They will soon become one of your favorite and delicious breakfasts made in your air fryer!
WHY SHOULD I USE STALE BREAD FOR FRENCH TOAST?
There are many uses for old bread, but one of the most surprising is using it to make French toast! You can use stale bread in place of fresh bread for French toast. With less moisture, stale bread works better because it doesn’t become mushy when dipped into the egg mixture. It also absorbs more flavor from other ingredients like vanilla extract or cinnamon.
CAN I MAKE FRENCH TOAST ROLL-UPS THE NIGHT BEFORE?
Yes, prepare these the night before. Stop right before you are going to dip them in the egg mixture. If you do that the night before, you will end up with soggy French Toast Rolls up.
After you prepare your french toast roll-ups, wrap tightly in saran wrap, after flattening them, and stuff them. The next day, drip them in the egg wash, coat them in the cinnamon mixture, and then air fry them.
