How To Make Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack

Microwave mozzarella and cream cheese in a bowl until smooth while bacon crisps and air fryer preheats.

Step One: Start by cooking the bacon until crispy. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F on the air fryer setting. While it’s heating, combine the mozzarella and cream cheese in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for one minute, stir, then heat for an additional 30 seconds until the cheeses are fully melted and blended.

Step Two: Stir the stevia and almond flour into the cheese mixture. Add the egg, making sure the cheese mixture is warm but not hot, so the egg doesn’t cook.

Mix stevia, almond flour, and egg into slightly cooled cheese mixture.

Step Three: Combine all the ingredients thoroughly, kneading gently if needed to fully incorporate everything.

Step Four: Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit your air fryer basket, making sure the edges are slightly raised for easy removal of the food.

Step Five: Place the dough onto the prepared parchment paper and gently press it into an even layer.

Dough spread evenly on pre-cut parchment paper in air fryer basket.

Step Six: Combine the sugar-free maple syrup with sugar-free brown sugar, then sprinkle a portion of the mixture evenly over the flattened dough.

Step Seven: Chop your bacon into little pieces and sprinkle it over the sugar-free brown sugar mixture. Sprinkle more of the sugar-free brown sugar over the bacon. Air fry for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is done. Sprinkle with more Stevia if desired. Enjoy!

Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack Recipe Tips

  • Cook the bacon first so it is crispy before adding it to the dough. This will help it stay crunchy in the finished dish.
  • Allow the mozzarella and cream cheese mixture to cool slightly before adding the egg. Adding the egg while the cheese is too hot could scramble it.
  • Cut parchment paper to fit your air fryer basket with raised edges for easy removal of the bacon crack.
  • Spread the dough, sugar mixture, and bacon evenly to ensure consistent cooking and caramelization.
  • Keep the air fryer at 375 degrees Fahrenheit and check at 15 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
  • Add extra Stevia or sugar-free maple syrup after cooking if you prefer a sweeter finish with more shine.
  • Let the bacon crack cool completely before storing in an airtight container to maintain crispness.

Storing Instructions

Store the bacon crack in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Make sure it is completely cooled before sealing to keep it crispy and prevent sogginess.

Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack Recipe FAQs

Can I make this recipe without an air fryer? Yes, you can bake it in a conventional oven at 375°F for 15–20 minutes, but the texture may be slightly different.

Can I use regular brown sugar and maple syrup? You can, but it will no longer be keto-friendly. The sugar-free versions keep it low-carb and diabetic-friendly.

How should I store leftover bacon crack? Let it cool completely, then store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Can I double the recipe? Yes, but make sure to use a larger air fryer basket or cook in batches to maintain even crisping.

Can I add nuts or other toppings? Absolutely! Chopped pecans, walnuts, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon can enhance the flavor without affecting the keto-friendly nature.

Will it stay crispy after cooling? Yes, as long as it’s stored in an airtight container, it will retain its crispiness for several days.
