How To Make Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack
Cook your bacon first. See note in the recipe card for an optional add-in—Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F, air fryer setting. While the air fryer is preheating, microwave the mozzarella and cream cheese together in a medium bowl. Microwave first for one minute, stir, and then microwave for another 30 seconds. The cheeses should be well combined.
Add Stevia and almond flour to the cheese mixture. Also, add the egg, but be sure that the cheese mixture is not very hot but still workable, so you do not cook the egg.
Stir the ingredients all together and knead if necessary to incorporate the ingredients.
Measure your parchment paper to fit your air fryer basket, being sure to have raised edges for removing the food from the air fryer with ease.
Dump the dough onto the pre-measured/cut parchment paper and press flat.
Mix your sugar-free maple syrup in with sugar-free brown sugar. Sprinkle some of the mixtures over the dough.
Chop your bacon in little pieces and sprinkle it over the sugar-free brown sugar mixture.
Sprinkle more of the sugar-free brown sugar over the bacon. Air fry for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is done. Sprinkle with more Stevia if desired. Enjoy!
Some Pro Tips:
- This recipe can be prepared in any size Air Fryer, basket, or oven model. I have also made this several times in the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Mealthy Lid. The recipe will work the same; the cooking time may vary.
- For best results, use a piece of parchment paper to line the air fryer basket or tray. Cut the parchment paper to fit, leaving some space around the edges.
- Remember, since every air fryer cooks a bit differently, you should check the Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack frequently as it cooks.
Note About The Ingredeints:
Usually, I do not write about the ingredients, but I wanted to give you a few notes since this is a KETO recipe.
Stevia: I used Stevia in this recipe. Stevia is a sugar substitute, which has no carbohydrates or calories. However, it’s way sweeter than regular sugar, so if you want this Air Fryer KETO Maple Bacon Crack to be less sweet, adjust the recipe to your tastebuds.
Stevia is used in most KETO diets, but there are several other options available. Some other popular choices would be Swerve, Monk Fruit Sweetener, and Erythritol.
Almond Flour: Almond Flour is very popular in Keto and Low-Carb Recipes, as it is low in carbs and Gluten-Free. Almonds flour is made from ground up almonds.
Swerve Brown Sugar: One of the most popular Keto and low-carb options for brown sugar is a line made by Swerve. Other options available are Monk Fruit Sweetener, Golden, and Sukrin Gold Natural Brown Sugar.
All of these are available from either your local grocery store, Whole Foods, or Amazon.com.
