Scrumptious Air Fryer French Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies Recipe Tips

  • Don’t overmix the dough: Mix just until combined to keep cookies soft and fluffy.
  • Use a cookie scoop: Helps keep cookies evenly sized for consistent cooking.
  • Line the basket: Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • Leave space between cookies: They spread slightly, so avoid overcrowding.
  • Check early: Air fryer models vary, so start checking a minute before time is up.
  • Add mix-ins if desired: Chocolate chips, sprinkles, or nuts work great.

Storing, Freezing and Reheating Instructions

  • Storing: Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. This keeps them soft and fresh.
  • Freezing: Place baked cookies in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
  • Reheating: Warm cookies in the air fryer at 300°F for 1–2 minutes or microwave for 10–15 seconds. This brings back that fresh-baked texture.

Scrumptious Air Fryer French Vanilla Cake Mix Cookies Recipe Faqs

Can I use a different cake mix flavor? Yes! Chocolate, lemon, or Funfetti all work great with this method.

Do I need to preheat my air fryer? It’s not required, but preheating for 2–3 minutes can help with even cooking.

Why are my cookies spreading too much? The dough may be too warm—try chilling it for 15–20 minutes before air frying.

Can I make these cookies without eggs? Yes, you can use an egg substitute like applesauce or a flax egg, though texture may vary slightly.

Can I double the recipe? Absolutely, just cook in batches so the air fryer isn’t overcrowded.

Can I make these in the oven instead? Yes, bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
