Either spray muffin tin or a ramekin with cooking spray. Or use a muffin liner in the muffin tin. Pour your batter into the muffin/cupcake holder.
Set in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 330 degrees F (air fryer setting). Check to make sure the muffin is fully cooked before removing it; depending on the air fryer you own, you may need an additional minute or two.
Pro Tips:
- This recipe will work in any Air Fryer, Basket, or oven Model. I have made this several times in my Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Vorftex, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Mealthy Lid. The recipe will remain the same; the cooking time may vary.
- For best results, start with room-temperature ingredients.
- You can double or triple this recipe. The cooking time will remain the same for 1 or 3 muffins.
- Do not crowd the Air Fryer Basket. Otherwise, it will take longer to cook up.
- Bake (Air Fry) until the muffin is cooked through since the cooking time will vary. If you find that the tops are getting too brown, tightly wrap a piece of foil around the muffin tin or ramekin, and reduce the temperature. Bake until fully cooked.
How Do I Store A Chocolate Chip Muffin?
You are probably wondering how to store your delicious chocolate chip muffin that you just whipped up. The answer is easy, but there’s a catch!
If you don’t want it to get soft and squishy, you need an airtight container. There are many options for storing these treats: mason jars, Tupperware containers, old cereal boxes. You can even put them in Ziploc bags.
Can This Muffin Be Frozen?
After a long day, what’s better than coming home to the smell of your favorite muffin baking in an air fryer? The answer is nothing, but it can get even better! It turns out that you can freeze these bad boys and enjoy them later.
Let them cool to room temperature, and then place them into a freezer bag or airtight container. They will stay well for about 1 to 2 months.
What Size Ramekin Should I Use?
If you just bought a new air fryer or are considering buying one, the question of what size ramekin you should use is probably on your mind.
Air frying can be difficult when it’s hard to gauge how much food will fit inside each basket.
The first thing I recommend is using what you have on hand. But if you don’t have any and want a new set, I would highly recommend that you purchase 10-ounce ramekins since they cook up perfectly, and you can use them for so many things in the Air Fryer.
