How To Make Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Muffin For One

Mixing dry and wet ingredients together in a small bowl to make muffin batter

Step One: In a small mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix in the melted butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix well, slowly fold in the chocolate chips.

Step Two: Either spray muffin tin or a ramekin with cooking spray. Or use a muffin liner in the muffin tin. Pour your batter into the muffin/cupcake holder.

Step Three: Set in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 330 degrees F (air fryer setting). Check to make sure the muffin is fully cooked before removing it; depending on the air fryer you own, you may need an additional minute or two.

Air Fryer Single Serve Muffin Recipe Tips

  • Use a small ramekin or silicone cup that fits your air fryer basket for best results.
  • Don’t overmix the batter—stir just until combined to keep the muffin soft.
  • Check early since air fryer models cook differently and single muffins bake fast.
  • Let it rest briefly after cooking so the center finishes setting.
  • Add-ins work great—chocolate chips, nuts, or berries can be mixed in easily.

Storing Instructions

  • Best fresh: This muffin is meant to be enjoyed right away while warm.
  • Short-term storage: If needed, store at room temperature, covered, for up to 24 hours.
  • Reheat: Warm in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes or microwave briefly before serving.

Other Cooking Methods

  • Oven Method: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the batter into a greased ramekin or oven-safe dish and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Microwave Method: Pour the batter into a microwave-safe mug or bowl. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds, checking at 60 seconds. Let rest for 1 minute before eating.
  • Toaster Oven: Bake at 350°F for 15–18 minutes in a greased, oven-safe ramekin until set in the center.
