Air Fryer Blueberry Muffins
If you have never made muffins in the air fryer, they are so easy. You really only need the right pan, and they are as simple as making them in a regular oven.
Ingredients For Air Fryer Homemade Blueberry Muffins
While today I opted for fresh blueberries, if you only have frozen, they will work as well, do not defrost them, use from frozen.
If you are looking to make healthier blueberry muffins, you can use a mixture of whole wheat flour or gluten-free flour. Just remember that the texture might be altered somewhat.
Today I used the common ingredients found in any blueberry muffin recipe-
- All-Purpose Flour
- Baking Powder
- Granulated Sugar
- Egg
- Pure Vanilla Extract
- Milk
- Unsalted Butter
- Fresh Blueberries
How To Make Air Fryer Blueberry Muffins
In your mixing bowl, mix everything, fold in the blueberries.
Spray your silicone muffin tins with cooking spray. Fill the muffin cups with batter, about 3/4 of the way full.
Set your air fryer for 320 degrees F for 12-14 minutes.
Muffin Pans Recommended For the Air Fryer-
When I first started baking muffins in the air fryer, I could not find any pans that fit, so I used silicone muffin tins. While these work in an air fryer, they tend not to hold the shape of a muffin as well as metal pans. So, you often end up with muffins that look like ski slopes. That is because the air is moving around and sometimes knocks over the muffin tins.

What is the difference between an air fryer and a convection oven?
An air fryer and convection oven are different and should not be swapped. An air fryer uses hot air to circulate all around the food. You will find that the air fryer cooks faster than a convection oven. It also provides a bit different texture than a convection oven.
How long do you cook muffins in an air fryer?
You will want to start checking your muffins around the 10-minute mark. They will cook anywhere from 10-14 minutes. You will know when your muffins are done by sticking a toothpick in the center of the muffins, and they come out clean from the wet batter. Sometimes you might poke a blueberry, and it will give you a blue tinge, which is okay.
Can you freeze muffins?
These blueberry muffins can be frozen very easily. Just bake them up and allow them to cool completely. Once the muffins are cooled, transfer them to a freezer bag or airtight container.
Blueberry muffins can freeze for up to three months. When you are ready, thaw in the fridge overnight or defrost it in the microwave.
