Air Fryer Apple Pie Biscuit Casserole Recipe Tips
- Cut Biscuits into Pieces: Cut the canned biscuits into quarters or smaller pieces before mixing with the apple pie filling. This allows the biscuits to cook more evenly and ensures they soak up the delicious flavors.
- Layer Ingredients Evenly: Spread the biscuit pieces and apple pie filling evenly in the air fryer basket or dish to promote uniform cooking. Ensure that each bite has a good mix of both components.
- Add Spices and Sugar: Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the biscuits and apple filling to enhance the sweetness and add a warm, spiced flavor. Adjust the amounts to your taste preferences.
- Melted Butter: Drizzle melted butter over the top of the casserole before cooking. This adds richness and helps create a crispy, golden-brown crust.
- Monitor Cooking Time: Check the casserole halfway through the cooking time to ensure it’s not over-browning. Cooking times can vary depending on the air fryer model, but it typically takes about 7-9 minutes.
- Serve Warm: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving, but enjoy it while it’s still warm for the best texture and flavor. It pairs wonderfully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
- Experiment with Add-Ins: Consider adding chopped nuts, raisins, or a dash of nutmeg to the filling for extra texture and flavor. Customize the recipe to suit your taste.

Air Fryer Apple Pie Biscuit Casserole Recipe Faqs
Can I use homemade apple pie filling instead of canned? Yes! Homemade apple pie filling works great—just make sure it’s fully cooked and not too watery.
What type of biscuits should I use? Refrigerated canned biscuits (like Pillsbury Grands) work best. You can cut them into quarters for even cooking.
Can I make this ahead of time? It’s best served warm, but you can assemble it ahead, refrigerate, and air fry when ready. You may need to add a few extra minutes to the cook time.
How do I store leftovers? Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F for 3–5 minutes.
Can I add anything extra to this recipe? Absolutely! Chopped nuts, raisins, or a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top before baking adds even more flavor.
What size dish works best in the air fryer? Use an oven-safe baking dish that fits comfortably inside your air fryer basket—typically 6–7 inches wide.
