What is the difference between a blondie brownie and a classic brownie?
Blondie brownies are made without a cocoa base. So they are more buttery and offer a richness without the mix of a cocoa powder or chocolate base. If you are not a huge fan of chocolate brownies you might really enjoy a blondie version.
What do blondies taste like?
Blondies have a buttery caramel richness. You will find the dark brown sugar helps to add incredible richness and caramel flavor into the brownies you wouldn’t get otherwise.
Are blondies the same as cookies?
Blondies could be classified as a cookie bar technically. Blondies tend to be more dense than say a classic cookie bar recipe would. That is why the blondie brownie was created.
Topping ideas for cheesecake brownie sundae
Here are some of my favorite toppers to consider adding to your brownie sundae! These are great but feel free to pick and choose any that you want.
- Chocolate chips
- Butterscotch chips
- Hot fudge
- Caramel sauce
- Diced up fruit
- Butterscotch sauce
- A scoop of ice cream
Why do you line the pan with parchment paper when baking brownies?
Lining your pan with parchment paper and non-stick cooking spray helps to make sure your brownies don’t stick to the pan. You will also find they are so easy to remove from the pan for slicing up.
If you don’t have parchment paper just use a nonstick cooking spray to ensure the brownies don’t stick in the pan.
Can I add nuts into the brownie mix?
Absolutely! If you want to add nuts reach for macadamia nuts, walnuts, etc. Just add around 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup if you want. Then just mix it in well and pour into the pan.
You can also add in some chocolate chips as well if you want to dress up your brownies even more.
You can store any of the brownies you don’t eat, in an airtight container or sealable bag. Don’t store them until they are fully cooled.
The brownies will store for 3-5 days, but as each day passes they will dry out a bit.
Can you freeze blondies?
You can freeze blondie brownies if you would like. Just place in a freezer container or bag, and freeze 3-4 months. Thaw on the counter or warm them up in the microwave.
If you own a vacuum sealer, you can extend the shelf life of freezing to up to a year or more. This is a great product to have if you love to freeze.
