Air Fryer, Texas Toast (Garlic) Grilled Cheese Sandwich
What is better than a classic grilled cheese sandwich, how about—
Air Fryer, Air Fried, Instant Pot, Vortex Plus, Texas Toast (Garlic) Grilled Cheese Sandwich–
his might be one of the most delicious things, I have ever made. It was one of the easiest dinners, I have made thus far in the air fryer. I had my son’s friends over from hockey, so I needed something that was kid-friendly and easy to make.
And, it’s so simple. The kids completely went nuts over it, they loved it better than my Air Fryer Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (and they love that)!!
This is so simple, but yet, it brings back a really old classic, Grilled Cheese it tastes like it was almost on a skillet.
We originally found this classic, when my kids were brought my parents to an upscale restaurant, where they had a grilled cheese sandwich, for a price tag of over $20. Do you imagine that, what is worse, is that is what my son ordered, and my parents went along with it? My oldest son tried it and he absolutely loved it, so when I got my air fryer, I put it in my list of items to figure how to make in the Air Fryer.
I used two slices of cheddar cheese. Next time, my son mentioned that he wanted to switch that out for Mexican cheese. So, I think that will be coming up.
This will work in the Basket Type, not the Vortex:
The trick to getting stuff to stay put during the cooking process, especially bread and light items is a toothpick, here I put a toothpick in each corner of the bread, so it would stay put. It worked wonderfully, and the end result was awesome. I also lifted the grilled cheese up, by placing it on the trivet that I was lucky to get in my air fryer accessory kit, which meat that the mayonnaise did not stick to the air fryer basket. So, each side had a nice coating.
