Korean BBQ ribs might seem complicated, but they are super simple to make! You’ll just need some pork ribs and a handful of ingredients to make a delicious sauce that will coat the ribs as they cook. After the sauce is made, place your ribs in the pressure cooker, add the sauce, and your work is done!

Once the ribs are cooked, the extra sauce is heated until it starts to thicken so you can pour it right over the ribs as they are served. This recipe only has a few steps and is low maintenance; meaning you don’t have to do a lot of work to get delicious results. The ribs come out perfectly tender and have a bright, sweet and savory taste that is hard to resist!

Laurie’s Tips and Tricks

  • Before making the ribs, I suggest rinsing the ribs with water to remove any excess small pieces of bone or dust on the meat. Pat them dry and you are ready to go!
  • If you want to make your ribs a bit more spicy, you can add 3 tablespoons of sriracha sauce or 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • After the 35 minutes, allow the pressure cooker to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes and then quickly release the rest.
  • If you prefer a bit of “crunch” on the outside of your rubs, then you can quickly clean your pot and air fry your ribs for 5 minutes at 390°F!
  • This recipe makes enough sauce to cook up twice as many ribs if you’d like! You can only fit around 3 pounds of ribs in your instant pot at one time, so you will need to cook them in batches.

What To Serve With Ninja Foodi Korean BBQ Ribs

Korean BBQ ribs can be served with a wide variety of sides to make a complete and satisfying meal! Try pairing these ribs with a side of steamed rice, noodles, kimchi, roasted broccolini, dumplings, or cucumber salad. These ribs are also great garnished with some red pepper flakes or chopped green onion for extra flavor!

Storing & Reheating Instructions

Any leftover ribs can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. To keep them fresh, store the ribs in an airtight container. You can reheat them in the microwave for about 1 minute, or until hot. Be sure to cover the ribs with a paper towel or plate so the sauce does not splatter.

Ninja Foodi Korean BBQ Ribs Faqs

What kind of ribs should I use for this recipe? You will usually be able to find two types of ribs at the grocery store: back ribs and short ribs. While you can use back ribs, Korean BBQ ribs are traditionally made with short ribs so that is what we recommend! Short ribs are cut perpendicular to the bone. This means that they tend to be thicker than back ribs, with more meat and fat. The cut of these ribs allows for perfect marbling which will hold onto the sauce well and keep the ribs tender and juicy!

Can I make this recipe ahead of time? Absolutely! The sauce for these delicious ribs can be made ahead of time, and will stay good in the fridge for up to a week. Once you are ready to make the ribs, you can reheat your sauce on the stovetop over medium heat until it starts to bubble, then follow the recipe as usual. Keep in mind that the uncooked ribs should only be stored in the fridge for about 3-4 days before they need to be cooked. Another option is to prepare the sauce and pour it on the ribs, store the ribs in a Ziploc bag in the fridge, and allow them to marinate for up to 12 hours. You can then place the ribs in the pressure cooker straight from the fridge and you won’t have to worry about preparing the sauce!
