How To Make Easy Air Fryer Baked Camembert

Step One: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175°C), for 3-5 minutes. Remove any plastic packaging or wooden box from the cheese wheel and place it in a small oven-safe dish or a Camembert baker if you have one.

Step Two: Using a sharp knife, gently score the top of the cheese in a crisscross pattern. This helps the cheese melt evenly. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the top of the camembert cheese. This will add flavor and help create a golden crust. Sprinkle fresh herbs like rosemary or fresh thyme over the cheese for added aroma and flavor.
Step Three: Place the prepared Camembert (in its box or on the dish) in the air fryer basket. Set cook time for 10-12 minutes, and Air fry the Camembert at 350°F (175°C). Remove when the cheese is gooey and the top is golden brown.

Easy Air Fryer Baked Camembert Recipe Tips
- Don’t skip scoring the top of the cheese—this helps it melt evenly instead of exploding like a dairy volcano.
- Use a small oven-safe dish so the cheese stays contained and ultra-gooey.
- Warm your baguette or crackers for a few minutes in the air fryer after the cheese cooks—trust me, it makes a world of difference.
- Add herbs, honey, or garlic before cooking to infuse flavor right into the cheese.
- Let the Camembert rest for 1–2 minutes after cooking so it’s molten but not lava-level hot.
Storing and Make Ahead Instructions
- Storing: Store leftover baked Camembert in an airtight container in the fridge once it cools—though let’s be real, leftovers are rare. Reheat gently in the microwave or air fryer until warm and melty again.
- Make Ahead: You can prep the cheese by scoring it and adding herbs, garlic, and honey a day in advance, then keep it wrapped in the fridge. When you’re ready to serve, just pop it straight into the air fryer for fresh, gooey perfection.

Easy Air Fryer Baked Camembert Recipe Faqs
Can I use Brie instead of Camembert? Yes, Brie works beautifully. It melts the same way and tastes just as dreamy.
Do I leave the rind on the cheese? Keep the rind on! It holds everything together while the inside turns molten.
How do I keep the cheese from leaking out? Place it in a small oven-safe dish or ramekin. Scoring the top only—not the sides—also helps.
How long does it take to melt? Most wheels melt perfectly in 8–10 minutes at 350°F, but every air fryer runs a little different, so keep an eye on it.
Can I bake it inside the wooden box it comes in?
Nope—those boxes often contain glue and aren’t safe for the air fryer. Use a ramekin or oven-safe dish.
What should I serve with it? Baguette slices, crackers, apples, grapes, nuts… honestly anything you can swipe through gooey cheese.
Can I reheat leftover Camembert? Yes, pop it back in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes until melted again. It won’t be as perfect as fresh, but it still tastes great.
Is Camembert safe to eat if it looks runny? Totally normal. Melted Camembert is supposed to be oozy and soft.
