Description

This easy air fryer camembert turns a whole wheel of cheese into a melty, golden, dippable appetizer in just 15 minutes. Topped with fresh herbs, garlic, and a drizzle of honey, it's the perfect crowd-pleasing starter served with warm baguette, crackers, or fresh fruit.

Ingredients 

  • 8 ounces camembert cheese, plastic film removed
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced or smashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, or sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 baguette, sliced (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Prep the cheese. Remove all packaging from the camembert and place the wheel in a small oven-safe dish or ramekin. Using a sharp knife, score the top in a crisscross pattern about 1/4 inch deep — do not cut the sides.
  • Add toppings. Press the garlic, thyme, and rosemary into the scored top of the cheese. Sprinkle with salt and drizzle with honey.
  • Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is visibly melted.
  • Rest and serve. Carefully remove the dish and let the camembert rest for 1 to 2 minutes. Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or fresh fruit.

Notes

  • Never air fry camembert in its wooden box — the glue used is not food-safe at high temperatures. Always transfer to a proper oven-safe dish.
  • Score the top only, never the sides, or the cheese will leak out.
  • Check at the 8-minute mark since every air fryer cooks slightly differently.
  • Make ahead: Prep the scored, herbed cheese up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate. Air fry just before serving.
  • Brie works as a substitute using the same time and temperature.
