Air Fryer Avocado Chicken Mango Salad Recipe Tips

🥑 Use ripe avocados – Choose avocados that give slightly when pressed for the creamiest texture in your salad.
🔥 Don’t overcrowd the air fryer – Cook chicken in a single layer for even crisping and juiciness.
⏲️ Let the chicken rest – Allow cooked chicken to rest 5 minutes before chopping to lock in juices.
🌽 Use grilled or frozen corn – Fresh grilled corn adds smoky flavor, but frozen corn works well too—just thaw and drain first.
🍋 Brighten it up – Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice before serving to enhance all the flavors.

Storing & Make Ahead Instructions

🧊 Storing: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To keep it fresh, store the dressing separately and add just before serving.

⏱️ Make Ahead: You can cook the chicken and prep the veggies a day in advance. Store the chopped ingredients separately, and add fresh avocado and dressing right before serving to prevent browning and sogginess.

Air Fryer Avocado Chicken Mango Salad Recipe Faqs

❓Can I use pre-cooked or rotisserie chicken instead of air frying? Absolutely! If you’re short on time, chopped rotisserie chicken works well. Just skip the air frying step and go straight to assembling the salad.

❓How do I keep the avocado from browning? To slow browning, squeeze a little lime or lemon juice over the avocado. If prepping in advance, wait to cut the avocado until right before serving.

❓Can I make this salad dairy-free? Yes! This salad is naturally dairy-free unless you add cheese or creamy dressing. Use a vinaigrette-style dressing to keep it light and dairy-free.

❓Is this salad good for meal prep? It can be! Store all components separately—especially the avocado and dressing—to maintain freshness, and assemble just before eating.

❓What other fruits can I use besides mango? Pineapple or peaches are great alternatives if you don’t have mango. They add a similar juicy sweetness that pairs beautifully with the chicken and avocado.
