Air Fryer Apple Pie French Toast Recipe Tips
- You can find the canned apple pie filling in the baking aisle! This is optional but, heating the apple pie filling really takes it to the next level. You can do this on the stovetop or in the microwave.
- I used the prepackaged cinnamon sugar. You can find it in the spice aisle. You can also make your own with equal parts ground cinnamon & granulated sugar.
- I used thick sliced sandwich bread. You could also use Texas toast, French bread, challah, or brioche.
- Want to go all out? You can even top this with powdered sugar and white chocolate chips!
- French toast is best enjoyed right away!
Storing
- Storing: Store leftover Air Fryer Apple Pie French Toast in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Be sure to let the toast cool completely before storing to prevent sogginess.
- Freezing: To freeze, allow the French toast to cool completely, then place it in a single layer on a baking sheet. Freeze for about 1-2 hours, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container. It will keep for up to 2 months.
- Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for about 3-5 minutes to restore its crispy texture. Alternatively, reheat in a toaster oven or microwave if you’re in a hurry.
