How To Make Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast In Air Fryer
Step One: Start by laying out the chicken on a cutting board. Liberally season your chicken, with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Step Two: Use a knife and cut a hole into the side of the chicken.
Step Three: Dice the broccoli into small pieces. Then add it to a microwave-safe bowl and add about 2 tablespoons of water, place the bowl, holding the broccoli and water in the microwave, and set the time for 1 minute. (this will steam the broccoli)
Step Four: Remove the broccoli from the microwave and mix in the cheese, mix well.
Step Five: Then use your fingers and stuff your chicken breast with the broccoli and cheese mixture. I used toothpicks to keep the filling in. Spray the inside of your basket or your air fryer tray with olive oil and place the chicken breasts on top.
Step Six: Spray your chicken GENEROUSLY with olive oil spray and then set the cook time for 12 minutes at 350 degrees F. Remove when the internal temperature of the chicken, in the thickest part is 165 degrees F.

Air Fryer Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken Air Fryer Recipe Tips
- Secure the Filling: Use toothpicks to hold the edges of the chicken together to keep the broccoli and cheese filling inside during cooking. Just remember to remove them before serving!
- Pre-Cook the Broccoli: If you prefer softer broccoli, quickly steam or microwave it for 1-2 minutes before mixing it with the cheese.
- Don’t Overfill: Avoid over-stuffing the chicken breasts to ensure they close well and cook evenly in the air fryer.
- Use a Meat Thermometer: Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safe and perfectly juicy results.
- Crispy Finish: Spray the chicken lightly with cooking spray before air frying to help the breadcrumbs become extra golden and crispy.

I made this for dinner tonight. Full of flavor! But the chicken didn’t brown. What can I do to get it to brown?
