Easy Recipe For Tomato Galette
This is my take on a classic French dish, perfect for the summer bounty of tomatoes. While, you can make this recipe with puff pastry, I find that the pie crust, comes out amazingly in the air fryer.
So, whether you use heirloom tomatoes, Roma Tomatoes, or green tomatoes, this recipe will work perfectly.

- Tomatoes: Use Beefsteak Tomatoes, Roma Tomatoes, Green Tomatoes or Heirloom Tomatoes.
- Refrigerated Pie Crust; You can also use puff pastry, or homemade pie crust.
- Cheese: Use freshly shredded cheese, feta, cheddar cheese, or gouda cheese.
- Egg: For a quick egg wash, to crisp up the dough.
- Seasonings: Kosher Salt, Black Pepper, Basil, and Thyme
How To Make Tomato Galette In Air Fryer
Here are the step-by-step directions to make this delicious side dish:
Start by unrolling your pie crust and then placing it into the air fryer basket, making sure it fits. If you have a tray basket, add it to the basket tray. Tip: Use parchment paper so you can easily lift it out of the basket.
Slice your tomatoes, and then sprinkle salt on them, to draw out the liquid.. Let sit for about 10 minutes. Air fry the crust at 320 degrees F, set cook time for 5 to 6 minutes, just until golden brown.
Top the prebaked pie crust with the cheese, basil and thyme, Place the tomatoes on top, then in a small bowl, mix your egg and 1 tablespoon of water, and then brush the egg wash onto the pie crust. Air fry until golden brown, 320 degrees F, for 5-7 minutes. Garnish with additional herbs.

- Tomato Goat Cheese Galette: Use crumbed or diced goat cheese.
- Tomato Onion Galette: Use freshly diced or minced white or sweet onions.
- Tomato Galette With Puff Pastry: Use puff pastry as the base, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F, and cook the base for 5-7 minutes, before adding the toppings.
- Tomato Galette With Basil, Pesto and Feta: Use fresh basil, spread pesto on the pie crust, and then crumble feta on top.

- 1 pie crust, refrigerated
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions
