Air Fryer-Perfectly Done, Heavenly French Toast

This morning, I made French Toast, actually, I made several batches of it. remember I have teenage boys! (LOL)

This is one of the easiest breakfast recipes, that I have found in French Toast.

The batter is rich and creates a nice and light batter, that when I combined it with air frying, it came out nice and fluffy.

Crack your eggs into the mixing bowl.

Add your milk to the mixing bowl

Mix well.

Add your cinnamon and vanilla. And mix.

Spray your pan with non-stick cooking spray, I use this pan almost every day

Put your prepared french toast into the coated pan.

Description

This is a really easy breakfast to make. My kids absolutely love it. I used the Omni Air Fryer (by Instant Pot) and made a lot of french toast at once. If you are using a basket air fryer the easiest thing to do is to use the pan, because you can keep on reusing the pan to make as many french toast as you need.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Then beat until the eggs are broken up and everything is mixed well.
  2. Then dip each piece of bread into the mixture and then shake to get the excess off, as you do, put them into your prepared pan
  3. Air Fryer for 3 minutes at 320 degrees F. Then flip them over and do another 3 minutes.
  4. Serve with maple syrup and enjoy!

Do you put all 4 slices at once? Or one at a time?

Tried this recipe and it came
Out great! However my slices needed to cook for more than 3 minutes, closer to 7 but I will for sure try this again!

I’m not sure if you noticed but the recipe says to cook it 3 minutes, flip and then 3 more minutes.

I have a new convection oven with air fryer and everything tends to come out like hockey pucks. Thank you for giving me the right temp and time for perfect French toast! I used almond egg nog, added spices, and pumpkin brioche. Magnificent *chef’s kiss*

Very good french toast ? The only problem is that in the air fryer it takes too long. Can only do one slice at a time. I will make again but on a griddle or in the oven. It was the first time my husband has loved my French toast! ?

This would taste a lot better if you add a little bit of salt. The eggs need it and it will make the flavors pop!

I have the Omni Plus and followed this recipe today. I too had to cook it longer more like 5 mins each side. I was curious 8f it was because i was using GF bread and flour(?) Or maybe I’m so used to french toast cooked on a griddle giving the bread a more brown toasted look,. Yet, this version never really got that golden brown color. Though once cooked it was awesome!

The French Toast came out great. The second three minutes we did at 350 to get them a little darker. Agree that they need a a few more than 6 minutes. We have a Cuisinart air fryer/toaster oven.

Heavenly, though air-fried at 350°F, per another recipe I’ve used for French toast sticks. 6 minutes was perfect, though they did not brown the way I expected. I used Texas Toast.

Great base recipe. I cut each slice of bread into 3 strips. Added salt, half the vanilla with the other half maple syrup, and a tablespoon of powdered sugar. After experimenting with our Ninja, we found they needed 390 degrees for 4 minutes on the first side, flipped over, and air fried at 390 degrees for 2 minutes. Perfect French toast sticks.

Cooking time needed to be adjusted for my air fryer. I have an instant pot vortex. It was 4 minutes per side at 340. I also had to make the decision to save milk for my toddler, so I had to use heavy cream. Added brown sugar. Amazing.

Made this with almond bread by Unbread. Use a liner that’s lightly sprayed with avocado oil before adding dipped slices of bread. When you’re done, use the left-over egg mix to coat sliced, cored apples of your choice (I used Cortland) and cook at 330 for 10 minutes in an oven-proof glass dish. Perfect accompaniment to the French toast. Not mushy.

So yummy! I just made this with regular white bread & subbed heavy whipping cream for half of the milk. I have a Costway air fryer oven and had to cook it for 7 minutes each side to get it as golden brown as I wanted. Turned out great!
