Can I Make This Ahead?
Yes, if you like to make your meal, you can either prep it and then cook in the air fryer when you get home, cook it, store it in the refrigerator, and reheat it.
I would recommend that you marinate your chicken and then air fry it when you come home.
Substituting for Chicken Thighs?
This mouth-watering lemon chicken will work with your favorite cut of meat, whether it be breast or thighs. You can prepare the recipe according to instructions, but there are some critical differences in cooking time that you should know about if using different meats:
The thicker chicken pieces like chicken thighs will require e longer cooking time. Still, no matter what chicken parts you use, make sure you check the internal temperature of the chicken and make sure it cooked to a perfect 165 degrees F. Always check your chicken with a meat thermometer when air frying!
Adding More Vegetables:
You can add any vegetables with the same cooking time; I often add zucchini, green beans, and even tomatoes to this dish. All of them go pretty well with the lemon chicken.
Adding Potatoes:
After all, one of the most common questions I am asked is if there is anything better than a whole meal cooked to perfection right in your air fryer.
I recommend that you start by cooking the potatoes, which should be diced into small pieces, between 1/2 to 3/4 inch pieces. Coat the potatoes in olive oil, which will help them crisp up.
What to Serve with Lemon Chicken?
Lemon chicken is a tasty dish that can be served with many different sides. Popular options include rice, potatoes, vegetables, and pasta. The best part about lemon chicken is the bright flavor it brings to any meal!

In step 4, are we taking the chicken out or adding the asparagus around it? The way it’s worded, it could be either, but the chicken can’t be done by then.
