Pro Tips:

Meat: Shred your meat so that it can add to the rolls. If you’re using cooked meat rather than sliced deli meat, be sure to drain the meat before adding it to the slider rolls. This will prevent the rolls from getting soggy.

Slider Rolls: Use a slider roll, but use regular hamburger buns if you can not find them.

Crowding: Leave space around the buns so that the heat can freely circulate around the sliders to cook them to perfection.

Baste: remember to baste frequently as the sliders cook up. This way, you get a moist and delicious top roll.

Seasonings: Add some herbs to the top of the roll for even more flavor. Some suggestions are poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or garlic or onion powder.

Timing: Since every air fryer is slightly different, remember to watch the sliders as they cook up. The timing will depend on your air fryer, and watching them is key to getting a great batch.

What Meat To Use For Italian Beef Sliders?

What is your favorite cut of beef for Italian Beef Sliders? Some people say that the best choice is roast beef or sirloin, but my personal favorite is short ribs. Short ribs are tougher meat, so they have to be cooked at a lower temperature for more extended periods. This gives them more flavor and makes them super tender!

Some great options that you can purchase from the deli counter at your local grocery store are Roast Beef, Pastrami, and even corned beef.

However, the traditional meat is Italian beef. The flavor of Italian beef is unmatched. It’s made with the best cuts, straight off a sirloin or round steak that has been roasted until they’re tender and ready to eat!

Can I Make these Ahead?

Assemble the sandwiches, and then cover and place them into the refrigerator. They will last well for about 2 to 8 hours, before becoming soggy.

You can even cook them and reheat them during the week for a quick meal or snack. Reheat in the microwave or the air fryer.

What to Serve with Sliders:

I love slider recipes. They’re easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. I’ve had many people ask me what’s the best thing to serve with sliders. Some of my favorite dishes to serve with a plate of sliders are:
