How To Make Air Fryer Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

Step One: Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove the stems to create space for the filling. Lightly brush the caps with olive oil.

Step Two: In a bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onions, breadcrumbs, Old Bay seasoning, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Stir until well combined. Spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing gently to pack the filling in.

Step Three: Set your air fryer temperature to 375 degrees F and allow it to preheat for a few minutes. Place the stuffed mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Set cook time for 8-10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.
Step Four: Let them cool slightly before serving. Garnish with extra Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy these delicious, restaurant-style crab-stuffed mushrooms!

Air Fryer Crab Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe Tips
- Use Fresh Crab Meat: For the best flavor, use fresh crab meat instead of imitation crab. It makes a big difference in taste and texture.
- Don’t Overstuff: Be sure not to overstuff the mushrooms with the crab mixture. A generous spoonful is perfect, as overstuffing may cause them to spill over during cooking.
- Choose the Right Mushrooms: Select mushrooms that are large enough to hold the crab filling but not too large that they become tough. Cremini or white button mushrooms work well.
- Spray with Oil: Lightly spray the stuffed mushrooms with cooking oil before air frying for a golden, crispy top.
- Check for Doneness: Air fryers vary in power, so check the mushrooms at 8 minutes and continue cooking if necessary until they are golden and the mushrooms are tender.
Storing
- Storing: Store leftover crab stuffed mushrooms in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Make sure to let them cool completely before storing to prevent moisture buildup.
- Freezing: To freeze, place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months.
- Reheating: Reheat the stuffed mushrooms in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes or until warmed through and crispy. You can also reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
