How To Make Air Fryer Cauliflower With Tomatoes

Step One: Preheat the air fryer to 400 F, for 3-5 minutes.
Step Two: Trim the cauliflower by removing the thick stem and outer leaves, then cut it into bite-sized florets.

Step Three: Place the cauliflower in a large bowl (or a Ziplock bag) and toss with oil and spices until evenly coated.

Step Four: Preheat the air fryer, then place the seasoned cauliflower and tomatoes in the basket. Set cook time for 7-9 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking, until the cauliflower is lightly charred and crisp. If you prefer more browning, cook an additional 2 minutes, but be careful not to overcook—the exterior should be slightly charred and crunchy, not dark or soggy.

Step Five: Move the cooked cauliflower into a large bowl, toss with halved cherry tomatoes, and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Air Fryer Cauliflower With Tomatoes Recipe Tips
- Use similar-sized florets: Cut cauliflower into evenly sized pieces to ensure even cooking.
- Dry the cauliflower well: Pat the florets dry after washing to help them crisp up in the air fryer.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheating ensures the vegetables cook evenly and get that slight char.
- Shake or toss halfway: Shake the basket or gently toss the cauliflower and tomatoes halfway through cooking for even browning.
- Adjust cook time for desired crispiness: Start with 7 minutes and add 1–2 minutes if you want a more charred exterior.
- Season generously: Don’t be afraid to use your favorite spices or a pinch of garlic powder, paprika, or Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
- Serve immediately: The cauliflower is crispiest right out of the air fryer; waiting too long can make it softer.
Storing and Reheating Instructions
- Storing: Store cooled cauliflower and tomatoes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Keep in mind that the cauliflower may lose some crispiness over time.
- Freezing: Flash freeze cooked cauliflower and tomatoes on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer-safe container or bag. They can be stored frozen for up to 2 months.
- Reheating: Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 375°F for 3–5 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid microwaving if you want to maintain the crunchy texture.
- Microwave Option: Microwaving is faster but will make the cauliflower softer. For a crisp finish, pop it back in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
