What are Caramelized Bananas?
Caramelized bananas are simply bananas that have been cooked (or air-fried) with a sugar mixture.
It is a cooking process, which occurs when you heat brown sugar or regular sugar and butter.
As you heat the sugar, the molecules inside the sugar start to break down. As the sugars start to break down, they start to crisp up the bananas, and the sauce turns into a homemade caramel sauce.
