Description

This recipe for Caramelized Bananas in the air fryer is so easy to make, and it’s a great way to use up overripe fruit. The bananas are cooked in the air fryer until they are nice and caramelized, then they are topped with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Air fryer bananas make a delicious snack or dessert, and they would also be a great addition to your breakfast menu!

Ingredients 

  • 3 large bananas
  • 1 teaspoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar, or coconut sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • With the peel still on, cut the banana lengthwise straight down the middle. Apply the melted butter to the cut side of the fruit.
  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar with cinnamon. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over banana halves.
  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and preheat to 400 degrees F on the air fryer setting. Place the banana halves into the basket and set cook time for 6-8 minutes, until brown and bubbling on top.
  • Serve your air fryer caramelized bananas hot with waffles, pancakes, ice cream, or porridge!
