This is a great recipe, it’s perfect for large potlucks, graduations parties, family reunions, or just when you invited the neighborhood to come over and watch the game. I made this for the Superbowl game, it was awesome. They come out steamed, not roasted, or grilled, perfectly steamed, just like you were getting them from a football stadium, or I guess in the warmer weather, the baseball stadium. Where I am from, they call them “Fenway Franks.” I think each city, has a different name for them.
So, these are great to cook in batches, if you have a large group. And this takes only a few minutes. And, the flavor is perfection, true perfection.
This is a simple recipe, with amazing results. If you have been gifted with an Air Fryer, here is one recipe, you want to try. And, it’s rather simple, since you only need a hot dog (or hot dogs) and the toppings, if you like.

Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs
- 8 pieces of bacon
- optional: hot dog buns, ketchup, mustard
- other items needed: toothpicks
Instructions
- Start by laying out your bacon strip on a flat surface.
- Wrap the bacon around the hot dog.
- Use a toothpick at each end, to hold the bacon into place.
- Set the wrapped hot dogs into the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 350 degrees F, for 8-10 minutes. (air fryer setting)
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!
